Hold the bedazzled flip phone! Gossip Girl will be returning as a reboot on HBO Max, the new streaming destination for WarnerMedia, and we are as excited as Blair Waldorf at Barney’s.

E! News confirmed this morning that the show will be rebooted with 10 episodes and an all-new cast, although we all know there can only be one Chuck Bass. It’s been eight long years since the OG shade queen went offline. Now she’s back and ready to stir things up on the NYC private school scene. The show plans to, “address just how much social media — and the landscape of New York itself — has changed in the intervening years.”

We know the classic teen drama is in good hands with original series creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage on board as executive producers. There is no saying if any of the original cast members will be back in the Upper East Side.

In early 2019, Blair Waldorf, we mean, Leighton Meester said she didn’t hear any word on a GG reboot. “No one’s ever asked me,” Leighton, 33, told E!. “No one’s ever talked to me about it except for in interviews and I always say the same: I never say never, so I don’t know. No one’s sent me that information, it’s coming from you.”

You can expect to see your fave Upper East Siders around Spring of 2020 with the launch of HBO Max. The streaming network will be the new home to Friends, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Pretty Little Liars and more.

As of right now, we don’t have any confirmation if yogurt will be enjoyed on the MET steps or if your favorite teens will be spotted at Butter. What we do know is that there is bound to be tons of drama only a socialite can bear.

Goodbye for now … XOXO Gossip Girl
