Last-minute shoppers, don’t fret! Christmas is finally here and that means it’s about time for a delicious feast with friends, family members and loved ones. Even if you forgot that ~one~ item that is essential to your festive dish, there is no need to worry since there are a few grocery stores that are remaining open on the holiday — but there may be adjusted hours depending on the location.

Before you dash out the door, it would be wise to give that particular location a phone call to make sure.

  • Pavilians

Most locations should be open from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m.

  • Albertsons

Most locations should be open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

  • Safeway

Most locations should be open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

  • Vons

Some locations should be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

  • Acme

Some locations should be open, but their hours will vary.

  • Morton Williams

In case you are in a pinch for time after picking up some items from the store, writer Gemma Bray recently shared some tips about how to make your Xmas dinner go flawlessly. “Make sure you write down when everything needs to start cooking and that way it will all be ready at the right time,” she told ChowHound.com, noting how it’s all about planning head.

“Prep as much in advance as you can — that way you don’t have to spend all your time in the kitchen,” she said.

Becky O’Haire, who launched the lifestyle blog Cuddle Fairy, also offered her own insight to the site, addressing how she likes to get everything ready to rock the night before as well.

“I peel the vegetables and make desserts and anything that can be made the day ahead on Christmas Eve,” she said. “Then on Christmas day it’s just turning pots on. It’s much easier that way because it’s easy to underestimate how long it takes to prep.”
