Halsey’s Boyfriend Yungblud Reflects on His ‘Fluid’ Sexuality: ‘It’s About Connection’
Anyone who is a true Halsey fan knows that she is one of the most authentic artists in Hollywood. It’s no wonder then that her boyfriend, Yungblud, follows suit. So much so, that the U.K. singer, 22, has no problem opening up about his sexuality. “I am more straight. [But If] I walked down the street and met a f–king bloke tomorrow, or a trans person, you never know,” Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, told Attitude magazine. “It’s about connection. I’m very fluid about it.”
Dominic’s fluidity extends beyond who he dates, though. It’s something he carries in nearly every facet of his life — including fashion! “I wake up one day and want to look girly as f–k, and I’ll wake up the next and walk out of the house in a Fred Perry polo shirt looking like I’ll beat the s–t out of you,” he explained. “I’ll be Anita from West Side Story then suddenly transform into Liam Gallagher.”
Yungblud said he attributes his personal growth and confidence to travel: “I came to London to be liberated, to be able to paint my nails, to f–king try sex with a guy, to try everything, to fulfill my fantasies and figure out who I am.” Needless to say, we stan, and of course, his ladylove does, too. Taking to Instagram on Yungblud’s birthday, August 5, Halsey wrote the sweetest message for her man.
“Darling Dom, everyone who has met you in this life, for any amount of time at all, will be changed forever because of it,” the 24-year-old began. “For some, in small ways they won’t even realize. For others, in a life changing wave … and every single one of them will be better, from having crossed your path for even a second. You leave an irrevocable shine on every soul you come in contact with,” Halsey gushed. “Mine is gleaming. Happy birthday, I love you.”
Considering Halsey and Yungblud don’t subscribe to conventional norms, we aren’t going to suggest they get married or anything — but we definitely ship them for the long haul!
