She’s the Halloween Queen! See Heidi Klum’s Most Iconic Costumes Over the Years, From Sexy to Spooky

2024

In 2024, Heidi and husband Tom Kaulitz both dressed up as E.T. with elaborate looks and she said it “took one year” of planning to get everything just right.

“When I was 9 years old, the movie came out and I fell in love with the movie, and I fell in love with E.T., and I thought it would be fun if both of us would be E.T. and F.T., and here we are,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

2023: The Reveal

Heidi once again exceeded fans’ expectations with the reveal of her completed costume: a peacock! Her look featured a bright blue head-to-toe bodysuit as 10 Cirque du Soleil performers transformed into her wings.

Hours before the 22nd annual party, Heidi shared a glimpse at her costume online. Fans were stumped about what it was, though — an alien? A lizard? A mermaid? Either way, she looked fantastic as usual.

2022

Heidi dressed up as a worm for her 21st annual Halloween bash, and she totally blended in with the look! A month before Halloween, the model teased that it would be a “claustrophobic” look but her “best one” yet.

2021

Heidi’s party was canceled for the second year in a row in 2021, but she didn’t let the Halloween spirit die. Instead, she turned herself into the undead with a series of zombie looks.

2020

Though Heidi had to cancel her party in 2020, she still wanted to dress up. So, she dressed as a wall in her home!

“When I realized it wouldn’t be possible to have my annual Halloween party this year, I knew I wanted to find a unique and fun way to celebrate at home with my family,” she told USA Today.

2019

Heidi dressed as a gruesome-looking alien at her 20th annual Halloween party. The look took prosthetics experts six hours to apply, and she sure did look scary!

2018

Thanks to her amazing makeup and prosthetics team, no one could have recognized Heidi when went she went as Fiona from Shrek to her 19th annual bash. Even her oversized green hands and feet matched the animated Disney character.

2017

Another classic! Heidi went as the werewolf from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video at her 18th annual party, where she made a grand entrance surrounded by ghouls.

2016

Heidi went as herself … as well as five identical bodysuit-clad clones at her 17th annual party.

2015

In one of Heidi’s most memorable looks, she went as Jessica Rabbit for her 16th annual party. A prosthetics team worked on her face, chest and derriere to make her look like the Who Framed Roger Rabbit animated character come to life. Heidi sat for 10 hours to have the work applied, and it paid off in one of her greatest costumes to date.

2014

Five hours in the makeup chair was worth it for Heidi’s elaborate and colorful butterfly costume at her 15th annual party.

2013

For Heidi’s 14th annual Halloween party, she went as herself … as a 95-year-old woman! Her wrinkled skin, varicose veins and thin hair were so lifelike that people at her own party didn’t recognize Heidi.

2012

Heidi went as a stunning Cleopatra, complete with a gorgeous gold elaborate costume. The newly single star looked absolutely regal at the December 1 bash, as the original Halloween party wasn’t able to happen because of Hurricane Sandy battering New York that October. Heidi’s party raised money for the American Red Cross to help those affected by the natural disaster.

2011

Heidi had two parties in 2011, with the second going down in New York City. There, she and then-husband Seal did their final year in couple costumes, as they split in 2012. For her 11th annual bash, Heidi began employing the work of Hollywood film industry makeup artists and prosthetic experts. They turned the couple into lifelike apes. The costumes took nearly six hours to apply.

2011

At her first 2011 costume party at Las Vegas’ Venetian Hotel and Casino, the supermodel morphed into what she would look like without any skin, looking like one of the actual human bodies from the Body Worlds science exhibition. Those Hollywood pro teams sure helped Heidi up her costume game!

2010

Heidi upped her game from the disappointing raven costume by going as a super sexy robot superhero in 2010. She wore a skin-tight purple bodysuit and face paint, along with red plastic Iron Man type body coverings and boots that were over a foot tall.

2009

For her 10th annual Halloween party, Heidi and then-husband, Seal, went as ravens in matching birdlike costumes. She later lamented that she hated the costume, as the protruding beak made it hard for her to get close enough to talk to her guests or be able to drink anything.

2008

After two years in Los Angeles, Heidi brought her party back to New York, holding the bash at the hotspot 1 OAK. She dressed as the Hindu goddess Kali. Heidi donned fake arms, blue body paint and a gold headpiece.

2007

After bemoaning how hard it was physically to maneuver in her Forbidden Fruit costume the year prior, Heidi kept it simple at her eighth annual party and went as a slinky gray feline in a skin-tight catsuit.

2006

Heidi kicked things up a notch for her seventh annual Halloween party. Not only did she move it from New York to Los Angeles, the model departed from her sexy costumes and went as forbidden fruit from the Bible, complete with a snake around her apple costume. Her then-husband, Seal, dressed as Eve and kept trying to take a bite out of Heidi.

2005

After going as a witch the year prior, Heidi opted for a sexy vampire in 2005, wearing a black leather corset top and skirt, a long batwing-like cape, thigh-high boots, fangs and the biggest dark wig ever.

2004

The Victoria’s Secret model took a cue from being one of their “Angels” and went as a sexy red witch. She had a lingerie-inspired bodice, along with knee-high boots and a long wig. For some reason, she decided her witch needed to give a skeleton a piggyback ride throughout the party.

2003

The former Project Runway host came as her own creation of a costume, which seemed to be a mix between a golden warrior and an alien. She even rocked a gold grill to complete her outfit, along with gold body glitter.

2002

Heidi rocked a sexy Betty Boop costume for her third annual Halloween party in New York City.

2001

In the first year of her “no costume, no entry” policy, Heidi came to play as Lady Godiva. While she wore a white bodysuit with silver sequins over her private parts instead of going naked, Heidi played the part by riding in on a horse and wearing an extra-long body-covering blonde wig.

2000

At Heidi’s inaugural Halloween bash, not even she could decide on who she wanted to do as. She donned a black vinyl minidress with a tight top and full skirt and wore a wig with dark side-braids.
