Obviously, some things about Kim Kardashian‘s life are more difficult to relate to than others. However, few things have been harder for people to comprehend than her nonsensical sinks. Fans got a glimpse of the contraption during her interview on Vogue’s “73 Questions” and the Keeping Up With the Kardashians starlet gave a full tutorial to answer our burning questions.

“OK, since everybody’s a little confused by our sinks, I thought I would show you guys a little tour of our bathroom,” the 38-year-old began the walkthrough video on her Instagram Story on April 17.

Not surprisingly, these aren’t normal sinks you would go to the hardware store and pick out, they took a lot of time and input to conceptualize. The Selfish author continued, “Kanye drew this. Kanye and Axel Vervoordt and Claudio Silvestrin kind of all did this sink. And, Claudio was the one who said that it should be separated from the wall because it used to be up against the wall. But, we thought it would be cooler this way.” Obviously, this was an intensive process. Kim noted, “So, eight types of this prototype sink was made.”

Claudio is a world-famous architect who also worked with the rapper, 41, to design the Kanye West loft in Manhattan back in 2007. Axel is an equally well-known Belgian interior designer, who the “Stronger” artist called a “master of time” to Architectural Digest in 2018. Basically, they’re the high-end dream team.

So, how does it work without flooding the floor? The mom-of-three explained in the video, “It does actually, like, slightly slope down … and there’s a slit for the water … and it goes in. You can put it on as high pressure as you want and no backsplash will come up.”

The California native also mentioned a few other cool features of their bathroom. She mentioned that their “whole ceiling is a lightbox” and their tub is perfect for their growing family.

We’re jealous but also so, so intrigued. Thanks, Kim!
