She’s a true royal! Gregg Sulkin recently got candid about why he’s a fan of Meghan Markle, and it’s the sweetest thing.

The British actor, 26, who played the former actress’ love interest in the 2015 film Anti-Social, revealed what you see with the duchess, 37, is actually what you get, meaning she really is that nice!

“Everybody does know her as a princess, but in real life, she genuinely is also like a princess,” said the Runaways star during his Thursday, March 14, appearance on Fair Game With Kristine Leahy. “She is one of the classiest, the nicest, one of the most sincere and genuine people I have ever met, truly. She’s a superstar. She was a superstar.”

He also confessed why he’s glad Meghan is representing England. “To me, I’m so proud of the fact that she’s part of my country’s history in all honesty, aside from obviously having a personal relationship with her.”

Since marrying Prince Harry in May 2018, the duchess has received plenty of negative attention, simply for being in the spotlight. However, Gregg believes she’s dealing with it gracefully. “I just think the way she’s handling it — obviously the press — you know, it hasn’t been easy for her,” he continued. “And she’s stuck to her guns, which is, you know, ‘when they go low, we go high’ sort of mentality, and I think she’s done that. I think she’s been a class act.” He’s right!

The Wizards of Waverley Place alum isn’t the only one defending Meghan. In early February, George Clooney expressed what he thinks of the situation. “I do want to say, they’re just chasing Meghan Markle everywhere, she’s been pursued and vilified,” the actor, 57, told Who magazine. “She’s a woman who is seven months pregnant and she has been pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that Diana was and its history repeating itself.”

We’re glad Meghan has so many people sticking up for her!
