Influencers Kian Lawley and Ayla Woodruff Announce They’re Engaged After 6 Years Together
Influencers Kian Lawley and Ayla Woodruff are sharing some exciting news with their followers.
After six years together, the couple is officially engaged!
The couple shared a carousel of photos from the proposal which took place next to a picnic setup overlooking the ocean.
In the caption of the joint post, Woodruff excitedly wrote, “IT HAPPENED!!! 💍❤️”
In the comments, friends and fans alike congratulated the couple on sharing this special milestone in their relationship.
“DAS MY MAH BEST FRIEND!!!! CONGRATS YALL. IK AYLA ON THE MOON RN LOL. LOVE YALLLL!! TIME TO CELEBRATE!” fellow influencer and Lawley’s long-time best friend, JC Caylen, commented on the post.
“This is like the royal wedding for chronically online teenagers from the 2010s,” one fan added excitedly.
The couple also shares a two-year-old son, Coast, whose arrival they also joyfully announced in a joint Instagram post in October of 2023.
More recently, the couple bought their first house together this summer, which Woodruff posted about on TikTok, saying in the caption, “Kian and I Officially bought our first house together ♥️ It hasn’t been easy…story time coming soon, but we did it🙏🏼”
“I have been waiting so long and saving up so much to be able to own my first house, and the day is finally here!!!” she continued. “I can’t wait to create new memories and hopefully grow our family in this beautiful space. First day feelings 🥹 Anyone else get this emotional or just me? Lol”
Previously, the couple had expressed that they did not have a desire to get married but they slowly changed their minds on the topic over time.
In a 2023 YouTube video where they discussed the topic, Lawley said, “I’m content with where we’re at and where we have been and like where I think we’re heading and I’m happy with, like, having a baby with you, and I don’t think I need to add something to make it more real.”
Woodruff responded, saying, “I do feel like having a baby with you has kind of made me consider marriage more because I feel like you and I were always on the same page about marriage we were like ‘we don’t want it like we don’t need a piece of paper or whatever to like tie us together.’ […] [But] I wonder how, like, it’s gonna make our son feel, and if we don’t dislike each other and we don’t have any issues and we agree on everything together, I don’t see a reason not to.”
Now, it seems the couple has come to agree that this is the right next step for them.
In an Instagram story following the engagement news, Woodruff wrote, “For those of you who know us, marriage wasn’t something we originally believed in. We had both seen things that’s pushed us away from it, however we always knew our love was endless and our partnership was forever. Over time we changed our perception & realized our story was our own, no one else’s.”
