Pete Davidson Confirms His Engagement to Ariana Grande: “I Feel Like I Won a Contest”

Wait a sec — is Ariana Grande engaged to Pete Davidson?! Turns out, yes! The 24-year-old actor appeared on The Tonight Show on Thursday, June 21 and confirmed that Ariana said yes to his proposal.

Host Jimmy Fallon said, “Now, you know you didn’t have to get engaged to Ariana Grande to come on our show, right?” Pete’s response? “But I did, though… I feel like I won a contest.” Aww! “It’s f—ing lit, Jimmy. It’s so lit.”

Pete added, “It’s so funny to walk down the street because dudes are walking by. Did you see that Derek Jeter commercial? He’s retiring and everybody tips their hat.” He joked, “Some dude goes up to me and says, ‘Yo man, you gave me hope,’ I was like I didn’t know I was that ugly. I’m a lucky motherf—er.” This is the first time Pete or Ariana has spoken out about their engagement.

A recent report revealed the SNL star put a ring on it after just a few weeks of dating. “It’s a recent engagement,” a source close to the couple told People. “They’re just two people who found love quickly and make each other happy all the time. They both started talking about it this past weekend. It’s nothing they’ve been hiding.”

Apparently not. Ariana seemingly sported a big ol’ rock on her left hand during the 2018 iHeartRadio Wango Tango on June 2 — and no one even noticed! She posed for a selfie backstage in LA and TBH, it looks stunning.

It also appeared the 24-year-old pop diva seemingly confirmed the news on Twitter shortly after the report broke last week. “i love u sm ok bye,” she wrote with a bunch of “see no evil” monkey emojis on June 11. She then proceeded to “like” a bunch of posts about the news.

On May 30, Pete took to social media to share a picture of himself with the “Side to Side” songstress and captioned the shot, “The Chamber of Secrets has been opened.” Ariana then commented, “U tryna slytherin (I’m deleting my account now)” — basically confirming their relationship.

Since then, the comedian has gotten not one but two tattoos of his leading lady… yeah, their relationship went from 0-60 real quick. His tattoo artist, London Reese, took to Instagram on Saturday, June 3 to share a pic of Pete’s new ink. “We had a good night,” London captioned the shot of black bunny ears — which mimics the one Ariana wore on the cover of her album, Dangerous Woman. London also shared a photo on his Instagram story of Pete’s second tattoo, which featured Ariana’s initials “AG” on the knuckle of his right thumb.

While many have already been congratulating the pair on Twitter — we know two people who certainly won’t be joining in: Their exes Mac Miller and Cazzie David! Ariana announced her split from Mac on May 10. “This is one of my best friends in the whole world and favorite people on the planet,” she wrote on a photo of them cuddling and smiling on her Instagram Story. “I respect and adore him endlessly and am grateful to have him in my life in any form, at all times regardless of how our relationship changes or what the universe holds for each of us!”

Meanwhile, Pete and Cazzie recently broke up, too — and she threw some major shade at the new couple. “Been in Africa, what’d I miss??” the writer and actress captioned a shot of herself on Instagram. She took a social media hiatus following their split.

Well. Congrats to the happy couple — we can’t wait for the wedding!
