Rocker Britton Buchanan Advances to the Top 4 on ‘The Voice’ and He’s Headed to The Finale!
Is Britton Buchanan still on The Voice? The 18-year-old contestant was lucky enough to make it to the Top 4 during Season 14 of the NBC series, and every week he continued to prove that he really deserves to go to the finale. Thankfully he was able to wow judges last night and Britton really proved that he earned his spot in the competition with tonight's performance where he covered Calum Scott's song "Dancing On My Own."
Under his coach Alicia Keys' direction, the North Carolina native was able to put together a performance that wowed coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Kelly Clarkson — and Alicia couldn't help but gush over him after he nailed the cover song.
The turning point where it became clear that Britton could very well win the entire competition was when he performed a cover of John Mellencamp's "Small Town" at about halfway through the season. "Let me just tell you something," Alicia told him. "You don't need this stage, you don't need anybody else because your destiny is to be here. I can just feel America rooting for you in that way because they can see that you belong here. We've watched you bloom and you're gonna keep on blossoming."
Fans also agree that Britton belongs in the competition, and some even think that he should just win the whole competition already! "Britton you just killed it, that was sick! Like I said, winner winner chicken dinner!" one fan wrote, while another commented, "They should have a platinum buzzer on #TheVoice, pushing it to announce Britton the winner!"
Britton found himself in the bottom three tonight and it was America's votes that earned him the Instant Save so that he could advance to the Top 4 and he was extremely thankful to his fans for voting. "THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU [sic]," he tweeted shortly after the results came in. But even though Britton is still on The Voice for now, fans still have to tune in next week for the finale and vote — and judging by tonight's results, Britton has a pretty strong chance to win the entire competition.
