Taking it one day at a time! At the beginning of October, reports surfaced that Selena Gomez was seeking mental health treatment after complications arose from the kidney transplant she had in the summer of 2017. After a month-long stay at a rehab facility in NYC, the singer is staying focused on being the healthiest version of herself she can be.

A source told Radar, “She’s focused on her mental health, not dieting. She has been eating more than she ever has and that includes three square meals a day and snacks.”

We’re glad Selena has taken some of the pressure off herself, this includes her usual rigorous workout routine. “She’s put on 20 pounds at least,” the insider said. “She used to be a fixture at the gym but hasn’t hit the treadmill in weeks.” Considering the rollercoaster past couple of months the “Bad Liar” singer has experienced, it’s probably best she’s taking it easy.

A source told Life & Style that the “Wolves” singer, who suffers from lupus, “felt her life was spiraling out of control” and decided to seek help before it was “too late.”

Selena once said that she feels “insecure all the time” about her body which is why she wanted her new activewear line with Puma to empower girls. Hopefully, she’s been able to put some of these insecurities at bay.

“I get really insecure sometimes, I go through weird ups and downs, but in general I just want people to wear what they feel comfortable in,” she said during an interview with Elle. “I want to encourage women. I really would love to use my platform for good, and along the way have so much fun with movies and the music.”

It looks like Selena is taking steps towards becoming the happiest and healthiest she’s ever been. Good luck, Sel!
