Jade and Tanner Tolbert Finally Reveal Their Baby Girl’s Name — and It Was Worth the Wait!
There’s a new, adorable addition to the Bachelor Nation family! Bachelor in Paradise love birds Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert — who found love on Season 2 of the ABC reality series — welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, on Aug. 17, 2017.
Three days after their big reveal, the couple finally announced her name — and it was definitely worth the wait. Watch the video to find out her adorable moniker!
Jade’s hubby took to Instagram last week to share the first photos of their newborn daughter. “Love my girls… [baby Janner] arrived this morning at 10:03 a.m…. she decided to surprise us and come a little early… but mom and her [sic] are doing great… Best day of my life,” the 30-year-old wrote in the caption of a family photo.
E! News was the first to share the exciting baby news. Even though her baby girl arrived one month early, Jade jumped right into her new role as a mommy and she opened up about her easy transition into motherhood.
“Never thought I’d post such a vulnerable pic as this, but nothing has ever felt more right and more natural than taking care of my little girl,” the 30-year-old gushed in the caption of a breastfeeding photo. “Becoming a mother hasn’t felt like some huge, transformational moment for me (besides giving birth haha). Instead, it feels like she’s always been here somehow like she has always been a part of me — almost like I don’t know how yesterday existed without her. It’s amazing how you can love someone so much, I now get the privilege of understanding a mother’s endless love.”
In Touch first broke the news that the BiP couple, who tied the knot on Jan. 24, 2016, was expecting their first child together back in March. “Jade cried a little bit. I was just really excited,” they shared at the time.
When speaking with Life & Style, Jade — who also appeared on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars alongside Tanner — revealed that one of her other Bachelor Nation family members actually knew about the pregnancy before her own mother! “I called Carly Waddell because she knew we were trying. I knew she was going to be excited,” she said at the time. She then added of Carly and her now-husband, Evan Bass, “[are] excited for kids of their own, too.”
It definitely seems like this couple — who got engaged on the Season 2 finale of Bachelor in Paradise — have come a long way from their stint on the We TV reality series. Back in December, Tanner revealed on the show that he feared he and his wife would divorce.

“I’m scared of getting a divorce — that’s half the reason why I shut you out,” he said. “In the back of my mind, it is scary that something could change for you down the road, because I saw that happen with my family,” he revealed. “Me and Jade did rush into a relationship, and we haven’t had that time to go through everything together. … That’s probably my biggest fear.”
