Jake Paul Challenges Chris Brown to a Boxing Match and Fans Are Like “LOL Wut”
He don’t want no smoke! YouTube star Jake Paul competed in a boxing match against fellow YouTuber Deji (aka ComedyShortsGamer) over the weekend, and despite the fact that Jake was sported a very bloody face by the end of it, he ended up winning against his opponent. After the fight, in true boxing fashion, Jake gave a brief interview as the champ and he used it as an opportunity to call out his next opponent — and Jake challenged singer Chris Brown to a boxing match!
“I wanna call someone out. I wanna keep on fighting, I love the sport,” Jake told the reporter, according to Metro UK. “Chris Brown — I know you were supposed to fight Soulja Boy, but I think it’s time to get in the ring with someone your size. So, Chris Brown, I want to see you.”
Fans were shocked that Jake was confident enough to boldly call out the “Freaky Friday” singer to a fight, especially because according to professional boxer Andre Berto, Chris actually knows how to box. “Chris can fight for real. Chris can scrap, he’s just an athlete in general,” Andre said in a YouTube interview last year, one month before Chris was set to go up against rapper Soulja Boy in a celebrity boxing match, but the fight was canceled.
After Jake challenged Chris Brown to a fight, Twitter exploded with funny reactions. “RT if you wanna see Chris Brown kick Jake Paul’s a–,” one fan wrote, while another commented, “Look [Jake Paul], calling out Chris Brown is a dumb move. He’s a f–king alien, there’s nothing Breezy can’t do and he will f–k you up whilst singing and dancing.”
Meanwhile, Jake is still on an adrenaline high after winning his match against Deji, and he took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message to his followers. “Soooo [sic] this past year hasn’t been the easiest for me… public controversies, bad press, friendship fallouts, business teams stealing from me, lawsuits, [and] the list goes on,” he wrote. “It’s been rough… The easy option would’ve been to give up… to let all of that shit get to me, to let it slow me down, to just go back to a normal life…. [and] I truly thought about those things as options… but I had to wake TF up.. I had to realize that nothing worth having comes easy.”
