When Corinne Foxx walked down the runway at the Sherri Hill show during New York Fashion Week, her father Jamie Foxx was front and center. And Corinne wouldn’t have it any other way.

“No, I don’t get nervous at all,” she told Life & Style exclusively backstage at Gotham Hall. “It’s like, I have a friendly face there so I don’t have to be that nervous. If I get that nervous, I’ll look at him.” The 23-year-old also revealed that at times her famous dad gets very emotional watching her work.

“He supports anything I do,” she explained. “Literally, everything. I think he’s proud of me just like, getting up in the morning. He always gets really teary-eyed. He’s a cryer! So anything I do, he’s like, wiping his eyes.”

Along with killing it on the runway, Corinne is also an aspiring actress — and will be making her big screen debut alongside Jamie, 49, in the upcoming comedy All-Star Weekend. The film, which was also written and directed by the Oscar-winning actor, will feature Corinne was Suyin — who just happens to be Jamie’s daughter in the movie as well. “He did everything for it, and so that was kind of the best circumstances to be in my first movie,” she said. “Because obviously, you know, it’s a little intimidating to be on-screen with Jeremy Piven and my dad, but I was comfortable and had a great time.”

As Corinne continues to thrive in her career, on and off the runway, she knows she can count on her dad for support and some great words of wisdom. “He always says just have fun with it because things like this, they can get intimidating and scary and you can take it very seriously,” she said. “He’s like, you know, ‘don’t miss out on the opportunity to enjoy it and have fun and kind of take it with a light-hearted spirit.'”
