Jana Kramer Has a Complicated Dating History: Her Ex-Boyfriends, Ex-Husbands and Ex-Fiances

Michael Gambino

Jana married her first husband in a Las Vegas ceremony in 2004. She left the marriage less than one year later when Michael strangled her into unconsciousness. He was convicted of premeditated attempted murder. After serving six years in prison, Michael was released on parole in 2010 but shortly died of suicide. 

Jana has since recalled her marriage with Michael and revealed that he had abused her while they were together. “When I said, ‘I can’t do this anymore’ he sent me a photo of my dogs on the freeway and said, ‘I’m going to let them go if you don’t come home,'” she recalled to People in 2020. “He’d kick me out of the house, I’d sleep in the car and then that next morning I’d be with him in bed again.”

Johnathon Schaech

The duo got engaged one year after they costarred in the 2008 horror film Prom Night. Twelve days after they wed in July 2010, Jana and Jonathan split. Their divorce was finalized in June 2011.

Brantley Gilbert

The former couple kicked off 2013 with their whirlwind relationship and got engaged that January. Seven months into wedding planning and the pair called off the nuptials. 

Brantley still sang high praises of Jana in 2014 during a radio interview. “Some things happened, and it didn’t work out —I think the world of her,” he said. “She’s one of the most genuine people I know. And that’s the honest to God truth. I think the world of that little girl.”

Mike Caussin

Jana discussed her marriage with Mike during an October 2022 appearance on Jada Smith’s Red Table Talk. The country singer revealed he “cheated” on her with “more” than 13 women.

The pair both casually dated after exiting their marriages.

Ian Schinelli

Us Weekly identified Jana’s then-mystery man in December 2021 after the duo posted Instagram photos in the same locations. 

Although Jana didn’t reveal too much about her relationship with Ian, she publicly announced she was in the midst of a breakup in March 2022.

Allan Russell

Jana confirmed she found a new beau in January 2023, sharing a photo with former soccer star Allan Russell.

“Back where it all started … Also this is so us … trying to take a photo,” she captioned their Instagram-official photo.

The pair got engaged four months later and Jana reflected on the “sentimental” proposal alongside her kids during a May 2023 episode on her podcast.

“It just felt right,” she gushed.

The following summer, Jana and Allan got married in Scotland alongside their family members.
