Jessica Simpson’s Daughter Channels Cher Horowitz on Her First Day of Kindergarten!
Time flies! Jessica Simpson is one proud mama on her daughter’s first day of kindergarten. The fashion designer shared a photo of her mini-me before she headed off to school — and the five-year-old was definitely channeling her inner Cher Horowitz.
“KINDERGARTEN #MAXIDREW,” Jessica, 36, captioned the sweet snap of her little girl wearing the school’s plaid uniform complete with knee-high socks and matching headband that scream Clueless. Watch the video below to see Maxwell Drew’s first day of school outfit.
The mother-of-two’s followers sent their well-wishes to her little girl, writing, “She’s so cute! Hope she has a great school year!” Another added, “Adorbs! When my kids started school life just started to fly by.”
Thankfully, this time around Jessica wasn’t mommy shamed on the social media platform for her daughter’s outfit. Last month, fans criticized the Dukes of Hazzard actress for allowing her little girl to wear a racy mermaid outfit to her birthday party. “She’s 5. Put some clothes on her. Good grief,” one commenter quipped. One follower even claimed that it looked like Maxwell was trying out for the cover of Playboy magazine. Not cool.
However, that has not stopped Jessica from gushing about both her kids, including son Ace, 4, with husband Eric Johnson. “Motherhood is the best thing I’ve ever experienced – and the most challenging,” she told People magazine. “I never knew how protective I was until I had my own child.”
And if you’re wondering if she’s ready for baby No. 3, don’t hold your breath. “I have two beautiful children and I’m not having a third,” Jessica told Ellen DeGeneres. “They’re too cute… you can’t top that.” We couldn’t agree more.
