Pregnant Jessica Simpson Seemingly Reveals Her Baby’s Name — and It’s Adorable!

A little Birdie might be on her way to the Simpson-Johnson nest! Jessica Simpson is currently pregnant and expecting her third child with her husband, former NFL pro Eric Johnson. Now that she’s getting close to her due date, Jessica celebrated the upcoming arrival of her baby girl with a gorgeous baby shower — and fans think Jessica accidentally dropped a big hint about the baby name she’s got in mind for her little one with one major piece of baby shower decor.

The gorgeous mama, 38, took to Instagram to share a photo of herself with her 6-year-old daughter, Maxwell, posing in front of a pile of presents. Jessica was absolutely glowing in a lace white floor-length gown, a soft duster, and a gorgeous flower crown on top of her long, blonde hair styled in loose waves. But it was the sign that appeared in the background — which read “Birdie’s Nest” — that had fans buzzing. Many of them thought the photo was Jessica’s way of announcing her baby girl’s name to the world.

“Love the name birdie!! Beautiful,” one fan wrote, and another commented, “I hope that’s the name!”

But other fans weren’t so accepting of Jessica’s possible baby name. “I don’t ever want to judge someone for their personal choices but I think that people are so desperate to be different that they aren’t thinking about the name they’re giving to their child and that the child is the one who has to live with it,” one fan wrote.

Jessica is already a mom of two kids and they each have very unique names — her daughter’s name is Maxwell and her 5-year-old son’s name is Ace — so it’s not surprising that she would want to give her third baby an equally unique name. Plus, Birdie isn’t so uncommon — actress Busy Phillips named her daughter Birdie, and Total Divas star Brie Bella also chose Birdie for her daughter’s name.
