Jesy Nelson Share Poignant Message About Her Body After Giving Birth
Jesy Nelson is opening up about body image and self-acceptance after giving birth to her two daughters.
In an Instagram post shared on October 13, the singer posted black and white photos of herself holding her kids.
The 34-year-old wrote in the caption,“I never thought it would have taken having two beautiful baby girls, that I could have potentially lost, to make me realise how incredible my body actually is. 33 years of extreme diets, 33 years of putting myself down wishing my belly was flatter, wanting my waist just a little smaller and almost going through with a boob job, to now standing here having this photo taken.”
She spoke about her feelings towards her new body writing, “I can honestly say I’ve never felt prouder of my body and what it has been through! Yes my boobs hang lower and my belly is bigger and squishier – it doesn’t look how it used to, but my god it created the best gift that has ever happened to me.”
The former Little Mix group member also revealed what she’s excited to teach her girls one day. “ If there’s anything I’ve learned over the past 9 months of being pregnant, it’s that I never want my girls to feel the way I did about my body for so many years.”
Fans and celebrities quickly rallied behind Nelson with messages of support and encouragement. Singer Jessie J commented, “This is the energy for life. YOU are beautiful.” One fan wrote, “2011 Jesy would be so proud 😭😭😭🤍🤍.”
Jesy Nelson shares two children Ocean Jade and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster, with her fiancé Zion Foster. The identical twins were born prematurely in May 2025.
On May 18, Nelson posted an Instagram post sharing the news.
She wrote in her caption, “So… Our beautiful baby girls decided to come at 31weeks plus 5 days. It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong! We’ve never felt more in love 🥹 Everybody meet Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster. Born on 15.05.2025”
