Perrie Edwards Shares Big Family News: ‘If He Wanted to He Would’
Perrie Edwards of British pop group Little Mix took to Instagram this weekend to make a major announcement about her family.
She’s pregnant with her second child.
The announcement video posted to Instagram showed Edwards donning and t-shirt that read “If He Wanted To He Would…” on the back before she turned around to show off her baby bump. The front of the shirt read, “…And He Did!”
Her fiancé and son then joined her in the shot, the whole family smiling joyfully. The video also featured and made reference to Edwards’ latest musical single titled, “If He Wanted To He Would.”
Friends and fans alike congratulated Edwards and her family excitedly in the comments. “AMAZING NEWS so happy for you all!” one fan commented on the announcement.
“Congratulations Perrie and family. I hope you have a healthy rest of your pregnancy,” another fan added in the comments.
Edwards welcomed her first child, Axel, with professional footballer and now-fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain back in August of 2021, sharing two black and white images of the baby’s ear, hand, and foot on Instagram with the caption “Welcome to the world baby 21/08/21.”
The couple then announced their engagement in June of 2022 with sunset photos of them at the beach and have since been enjoying family life together.
Shortly after the birth of Edwards’ first child, Little Mix announced that they were going on hiatus to allow them each to work on other projects after finishing their 2022 tour.
While so far Edwards has only released a handful of singles throughout 2024 and 2025, her debut solo album simply titled Perrie is set to release this month on September 26.
With new music and a new baby on the way soon, this upcoming year is set to be a busy and joyful one for both Edwards and her family.
