Kelsey Anderson Reveals Which of Joey Graziadei’s Family Members Pushes Her to Reply to Haters
Kelsey Anderson has seamlessly bonded with Joey Graziadei’s family, especially with one of his siblings, who encourages her to reply to haters on social media.
The Bachelor alum, 26, opened up about getting weird comments about Joey, 29, competing on Dancing With the Stars season 33 with professional dancer and partner Jenna Johnson, admitting that Joey tells her to not let it “bother” her. That said, the project manager sometimes needs the opinion of a fellow girlie.
“But then sometimes I’m like, ‘You know what, I need extra support.’ I’ll call his sister Carly [Monzo] and then I’ll talk to her and then she’s like, ‘Yeah, make the video,’” Kelsey told Us Weekly in a story published on Tuesday, October 22.
She later added, “Sometimes Carly’s — not the devil on my shoulder — but she’s, like, the person that’s like, ‘Do it. Like, why not? It’s not gonna hurt anything if it’s gonna make you feel better.’ Joey’s sometimes like, ‘You don’t need to respond. They don’t know you.’”
Ever since DWTS season 33 premiered on September 17, Bachelor Nation has voiced questionable concerns about Joey and Jenna’s partnership. It didn’t take long for Kelsey to not only defend her relationship with the former tennis star, but also stand up for his job and friendship with Jenna, 30.
“So many people are like, ‘Kelsey, why is Jenna touching your man like that?’ And honestly, I don’t know … Maybe because it’s her job? Maybe because she’s a professional dancer and she has to touch him to dance? I don’t know, that’s my understanding of it,” Kelsey said in a TikTok video on September 19. “I’m just so tired of everyone being like, ‘Kelsey’s so strong, I could not do this, I could not watch this if I was Kelsey.’”
The New Orleans native also reminded fans that she began dating Joey amongst 31 other women, noting that she has a “certain level of security to go through all that.”
In addition to cheering on Joey and Jenna every week as they compete on Dancing With the Stars, Kelsey has also been getting to know Joey’s sisters. Along with Carly, the former Bachelor has another sister named Ellie.
In July, Kelsey and Joey went on a double date with Carly and her husband, Zach Monzo. The foursome went to the golf course for their outing. However, the men whacked the balls while the women added amazing commentary along the way. Kelsey shared a video via Instagram of the experience, which was Carly’s first time at a golf course. The soon-to-be sister-in-laws drove in one cart together, where they enjoyed drinks and watched their men attempt to hit a hole-in-one.
“Maybe next time we should do a spa day,” Kelsey captioned the post.
Carly commented, “We truly are great company if I do say so myself.”
Meanwhile, fans were living for the girlhood moment and begged for more Carly and Kelsey content. “Omg y’all are so cute and funny! I bet Joey has his hands full between the two of ya,” one fan laughed.
A second person even dragged Bravo host Andy Cohen into the conversation by writing, “They need their own show. @bravoandy.”
