No fireworks for him!
John Mayer responded to his ex-girlfriend Katy Perry’s recent admission that he was her favorite sexual partner. But according to the “Gravity” crooner, 39, he couldn’t care less about the California Gurl’s compliment.
John was asked to share his reaction to Katy’s comment in a Q&A with Rolling Stone, which was published on Wednesday, June 28.
“I don't have a cool-enough thought for you. I've hacked this game. I pay very little of the price of fame now. I get to play the music that moves me the most. I'm having the time of my life,” he told the magazine, explaining that he enjoys staying out of the spotlight. “I'm 39 — I remember 32. I don't wanna do it again.”
"They're all amazing lovers and I would have sex with all of them after I get out of this place!" the “Swish Swish” songstress said at the time, before eventually admitting that John was indeed her No. 1 lover.
The former couple (who collaborated on the 2013 track “Who You Love”) dated on and off from 2012 to 2015. John opened up about his romance with Katy — and how she inspired his 2017 single, “Still Feel Like Your Man” — in a profile with The New York Times.
"Who else would I be thinking about? And by the way, it’s a testament to the fact that I have not dated a lot of people in the last five, six years,” he told the newspaper in March. “That was my only relationship. So it’s like, give me this, people.”
