When it comes to summer beauty, diet and fitness tips, everybody and (and we mean EVERYBODY) thinks their advice is best. Problem is, not everyone is as knowledgeable as they may think! *Sips tea.* That’s why Life & Style spoke with seasoned supermodels Josephine Skriver and Jasmine Tookes to see what they have to say about these very important subjects! After all, who better than two Victoria’s Secret Angels?

“I like to do a lot of weight-training,” Jasmine dished at the Sweat 2019 Fitness Festival at The Surf Lodge in Montauk, NY. “I mix it up between Pilates, as well. So one day, I really like strengthen and build my butt — it’s like my main focus,” she continued. “And another day, I just let my body kind of relax and do nice slow Pilates. So, yeah, it’s about three to four times a week.”

As for Josephine? Well, as besties and co-owners of the JoJa Instagram account, her routine is pretty similar. However, there is one key difference. “I’m a little bit more trying to get more Yoga-based again — just for stretching out,” she said. “It’s always so intense. I love a workout — I love to do boxing and intense stuff — I also love to add in cardio and just be sweaty. So, I think I’m trying to learn to get a moment where I’m a little bit more peaceful this year. It’s a good journey I’m going on of just breathing.”

“None of us have ever liked the word ‘diet,’” Josephine confessed. “We believe in a small kick-start, but it’s more of a healthy lifestyle and it’s more about finding that balance of eating healthy and doing good things for your body … but also, like, treat yourself! We hate the word cheat day because it feels guilty. Like no, go treat yourself to a pizza once in a while.”

Jasmine chimed in with, “I believe as long as you’re working hard and killing it, you can enjoy your food and not have to really, really think about it too much.” That’s some pretty well-balanced advice, if you ask us!

Now onto the most glowing topic of them all — summer beauty! “Oh, my biggest thing is to hydrate! I think hydration is key. I’m actually really horrible at it. So, I’ve been trying to take a bottle with me and fill it up as much as I can,” Jasmine confessed. “Just hydrate because your skin gets so dried out and also, I think a big tip is to stay out of the sun for your face. You don’t want to get wrinkles and it just ages you way faster.”

“Yeah, same,” Josephine echoed. “It’s always been like sunscreen, sun hat and shadow. Those are really three good essences to follow and then hydrate. I don’t think there’s going to be anything better for your body — and then sweat it out!”
