Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich Are Trying to ‘Save Face’ Amid Marriage Troubles
When it comes to Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich‘s relationship problems, they’re trying to make the best of the situation. The couple, who has been together for nearly 5 years, was spotted together on January 9 after Life & Style revealed they are going through some marriage troubles.
“Just because Julianne and Brooks were photographed together doesn’t mean everything is OK!” a source exclusively told Life & Style. “Everyone is whispering about their marriage being on the rocks so they’re trying to save face. They want different things in life — nothing has changed in that respect. It’s just what it is. There’s no resentment or animosity between the couple, though.”
On January 8, another insider exclusively divulged to Life & Style that the 31-year-old dancer and the 36-year-old NHL player “want different things in life. They’ve had so many ups and downs, but they also have very different ways of dealing with them. Julianne is an open book. Brooks was OK with that in the beginning, but it’s gotten to be too much.”
In August, Julianne confessed that her husband didn’t know what her sexual orientation was until recently. “I [told Brooks], ‘You know I’m not straight, right?’ And he was like, ‘I’m sorry, what?’ I was like, ‘I’m not. But I choose to be with you,'” she told Women’s Health. “I think there’s a safety with my husband now that I’m unpacking all of this, and there’s no fear of voicing things that I’ve been afraid to admit or that I’ve had shame or guilt about because of what I’ve been told or how I was raised.”
There are several signs pointing that they headed for splitsville, such as Julianne not wearing her ring and their recent social media posts. On January 7, Brooks shared a candid post on Instagram and revealed that he’s “stepping into a new chapter” and “being more present in his relationships” this year.
He continued, “I feel a new stage of life calling me, and though I don’t exactly know what it is yet, it feels right and exciting!” Only time can tell what will happen with these two.
