Practice what you preach? Justin Bieber posted a message on Instagram bashing the "glamorous lifestyle" of celebrities just hours after dozens of elite A-list stars attended the coveted 2018 Met Gala in NYC dressed in couture designers that fans only dream of wearing. "Hey world, that glamorous lifestyle you see portrayed by famous people on Instagram; don't be fooled thinking their life is better than yours," Justin wrote. "I can promise you, it's not!"

While he didn't directly reference the Met Gala, it's pretty obvious that's what he was talking about considering Instagram is still cluttered with photos from the event almost 24 hours later. And the Biebs does have a point here — just because celebrities are rich AF doesn't mean they are happier or better than anyone else.

Unfortunatly, it's hard to take Justin's message seriously right now. Why? Because less than a day earlier he shared a video of his feet rocking Kanye West's newest Yeezy Wave Runner 700 sneakers, which cost around $300. Not only are they expensive, but the kicks are also extremely hard to get your hands on if you aren't a celebrity, so maybe — just this time — Justin's life does look a little bit better than the average person's.

What is even more ironic, is that Justin shared the video of his new sneakers while the 2018 Met Gala was happening. So even though he may not have been on a red carpet or dripping in diamonds, Bieber was still on Instagram portraying a certain glamorous lifestyle that most of the world doesn't have.

And while his message may have been written with good intentions, he contradicted himself just hours before — probably without even realizing it. But, hey, this is what comes with being a celebrity, doesn't it? They're in the spotlight, they get lavish gifts, attend luxurious events, and post about it on Instagram. Their lives are glamorous — most of the time.
