‘Teen Mom 2’ Stars Kailyn Lowry and Leah Messer React to Romance Rumors: ‘So What If We’re Dating?’

Despite the countless flirty snapshots and seemingly romantic trip to Costa Rica, we’re sad to report that Kailyn, 27, and Leah, 27, are not, in fact, together. However, Leah had a special message for her followers regarding her relationship with Kail and she used some hashtags to share it.

“That’s my girl,” “So what if we’re dating?” and “Modern Brady Bunch,” the mother-of-three captioned a picture of the pair on Wednesday, May 8. To be clear, the hashtag about dating was followed by two laughing emojis. So, we can pretty much guarantee that Leah was poking fun at the rumors!

Beyond Leah’s recent post, the longtime MTV personalities also appeared together on the “Life Reboot” podcast to discuss their trip to Costa Rica, as well as how to live your best life.

Turns out, between letting loose and taking sexy bikini pictures, Leah and Kailyn actually did a lot of self-reflecting on their vacation — including when it comes to their respective love lives. 

“We talked a lot about dating and knowing our worth and not settling for bulls–t like we have in the past when it comes to relationships,” Kailyn said. “I mean, that’s been a huge thing.”

“Kail and I have both evolved and grown so much and we have, like, similar childhoods in a lot of ways and it’s amazing to see where we’re at now,” Leah chimed in.

Shortly thereafter, the host complimented the ladies on their “beautiful sisterhood,” adding that, “no one that can understand what you guys go through more than one another.”

“Now that we’re dating, right?” Leah quipped, before erupting into a fit of laughter. Kailyn also started cracking up. Very funny, girls! 

Even with Kailyn and Leah openly joking about the rumors, fans of the pair are still going strong with shipping them!

“I have a feeling y’all did the deed on vacation,” one user commented, along with a winking emoji. “I really wouldn’t be mad at you guys dating, to be honest,” added another.

“Ugh. You guys should date already,” someone wrote. “I want someone to look at me the way Kailyn looks at Leah,” echoed another.

Unfortunately, a handful of trolls decided to show Kailyn and Leah some serious hate. Mind you, they’re not even dating! Sigh. The internet can be the worst sometimes. 

“Why would you even post s–t like this?” one hater wrote. “Ummm, this is disturbing,” another echoed.

Thankfully, some people were completely neutral. “I really don’t care if y’all are just friends or in love,” someone wrote. “Do you, be happy and continue taking care of your babies! That’s all that matters.”

We couldn’t agree more! We think that Kailyn and Leah have a beautiful connection — romantic or otherwise.

Life & Style reached out to Leah and Kailyn for comment on the dating rumors but did not hear back by the time of publication.
