Things are getting exciting for Queer Eye star Karamo Brown, who was just revealed as part of the Dancing With the Stars season 28 celebrity cast. When Life & Style caught up with the 38-year-old at the DWTS cast reveal at Planet Hollywood, he exclusively revealed that he needs his Fab Five costars to be in the house to support his dancing journey.

“We’re trying to get the fab five in the audience for the first show, that’s really important,” the seasoned reality TV star revealed. “And I think it is really big for my sons to be there. I want them to be front row.”

He even revealed a little personal connection to the idea of getting up on that stage to groove. “Also, my fiancé’s mother, she’s 87,” he explained about wanting her there, too. “She owned a dance studio for 50 years and she gave free dance lessons to kids who couldn’t afford it, like ballroom, ballet. So this is her show!”

As far as his costars — Jonathan Van NessBobby BerkTan France and Antoni Porowski — they got the news of Karamo’s spot on the show first, via group chat, of course.

“Oh yeah, I told them all immediately. They actually all found out at the same time,” he revealed. “We had a group chat and so I texted and said, ‘oh my gosh, I’m on the show.’ It was literally like ‘oh my gosh, you’re going to kill it! We’re all going to support it and come!'”

But luckily for the culture expert, none of them will be coming for his dancing spotlight any time soon. “The thing is that three of them can’t dance! They’re like, they would never set themselves up for this,” he dished on his pals and their (lack of) skills. “And then Jonathan, he’s on tour right now and so he wouldn’t have time.”

Needless to say, we can’t wait to see Karamo slay it on the dance floor. Now, we just need to decide if we’re rooting for him or Hannah Brown
