Vampire Diaries’ Kat Graham Is Pregnant — Announces Her First Baby With Husband Bryant Wood
Kat Graham is adding a new title to her resume: mommy-to-be.
The Vampire Diaries alum announced she’s pregnant with her first child alongside husband Bryant Wood in an adorable Dec. 1 Instagram post. The carousel of polaroids featured Kat showing off her baby bump while lifting her sweater as Bryant looked at her lovingly and planting kisses on her belly.
“We’re having a baby!!!” Kat captioned the sweet snaps, and Bryant couldn’t hide his excitement either, commenting, “We are ready!”
While Kat didn’t share a due date or further details about the pregnancy, she also posted on her Instagram Story featuring Rick James’ classic “Give It to Me Baby” and a simple note that read, “Baby on Board.”
Fans and friends were quick to flood the comments with love. Nikki Reed, wife of her Vampire Diaries costar Ian Somerhalder, gushed, “This is so sweet you guys. Ahhhhhh!!!! Congratulations!! Now I’m thinking about all of our special conversations from this summer and my heart is 😍🥹😍.”
Candice King, another Vampire Diaries alum, chimed in, “Ahhhh congratulations!!!!!!” Nathalie Kelly added, “What a lucky soul to have you as her mommy,” while Natalie Kuckenburg, fiancée of Paul Wesley, simply wrote, “Congrats ❤️.”
The happy news comes just four months after Kat and Bryant tied the knot in an intimate California wedding this past August, marking their second wedding ceremony. The couple first legally married in 2023 after eloping for a private civil ceremony, but this celebration came after years of friendship.
Kat and Bryant’s love story isn’t your typical Hollywood romance. “It’s not really a love story,” Kat told The Knot after their second wedding. The pair first met at a birthday party and became friends. Years later, they co-created a health startup together, organizing conferences and deepening their bond over five years.
After the company closed, Bryant had a dream about Kat — a “sexy dream,” he told the outlet. The next morning he called her, convinced the universe was at work.
“I ask if she had a dream too,” Bryant says. “He didn’t say it was a sexy dream,” Kat interjects. She hadn’t had a dream, but agreed to meet him in Los Angeles—and immediately felt a spark. “I don’t want to say I’m witchy, but I am very energetically sensitive, so I straight-up asked him, ‘Do you have sexual energy towards me?’” she said. Bryant fessed up.
Kat, who has been engaged twice before, knew this time was different.
“I didn’t really understand the ‘when you know, you know,’ but once we were together, I was like, oh this is my husband. I got it.” Two months in, during a bubble-bath date, Kat shared her feelings. “I want to be with you. I want to marry you,” she told him—and that’s exactly what they did. “I told everybody she asked me to marry her, and after that we were married,” Bryant recalled.
