Katie Holmes Is Feeling Bright in Neon Pumps While Out With Suri Cruise Following Jamie Foxx Split
It looks like Katie Holmes is feeling brighter after her split from Jamie Foxx … at least her shoes are. The actress stepped out looking stylish in neon pumps with her daughter, Suri Cruise, in New York City on August 28.
The 40-year-old looked casual and comfy in white capri pants and a grey sweater. Although her dressed-down look was perfect for a chill day out with her 13-year-old, the Dawson’s Creek actress added a fun pop of color with her footwear. As for Suri, she looked cozy in pink sweatpants that said “Fire Island” down the leg and a grey T-shirt with a backpack. Despite her recent heartbreak, the brunette beauty looked to be smiling and relaxed.
News surfaced on August 19 that Katie and Jamie’s relationship ended after six years together. “Jamie and Katie have been arguing nonstop over his partying,” an insider exclusively told In Touch. “For months he’s been promising to calm his wild ways, but nothing’s changed and she’s finally come to the conclusion that she wants to be with a guy who’s more mature and ready to settle down. She also can’t keep an eye on him when he’s in L.A. and is fed up with doing the whole long-distance thing so gave him an ultimatum — either move to NY or it’s over!”
“He refuses to leave his hometown so she called it a day,” the source added about the 51-year-old actor. “They’ve been on and off for a while, but Jamie always manages to talk Katie into giving him another chance. Friends are hoping that she doesn’t take him back this time around.”
Katie is back on the market but she’s definitely not lonely considering she has a spunky teen to take care of. Even when she was with the comedian, her mini-me always came first. “She’s an amazing mom,” a source told Us Weekly. “She’ll choose her family over him any day.”
