New Mom Katy Perry Snaps a Selfie in a Nursing Bra and Postpartum Undies: ‘Exhaustion’
Keeping it real! Katy Perry showed off her post-pregnancy body just days after giving birth to her daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, whom she shares with fiancé Orlando Bloom.
The “Roar” artist, 35, posed for a selfie while rocking a nursing bra and postpartum recovery underwear. “Hair and makeup by @exhaustion,” the new mom jokingly captioned the photo.
Additionally, Katy included an MTV VMAs sticker to acknowledge the awards show that aired on Sunday, August 30. Clearly, the California native’s life has changed quite a bit since the A-list event last year — but she wouldn’t change a thing!
“Katy is enjoying every minute of being a new mom,” a source exclusively revealed to Life & Style on August 27. “She hasn’t had much sleep and is pretty tired, but knows it’s part of the process. Her own mom, Mary, is helping out and Orlando is super hands-on.”
While Katy is a first-time parent, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 43, shares 9-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr. “Orlando knows what he’s doing, having gone through it all before,” the insider continued.
Thankfully, Flynn is adjusting well to being a big brother! “He’s super excited about having a little sister to watch over,” the source added. “He’s such a well-behaved child and both Katy and Orlando feel confident that he’ll be a great role model for Daisy.”
Additionally, Miranda, 37, is 100 percent supportive of Katy and Orlando’s growing family. The former Victoria’s Secret model, who shares sons Hart and Myles with husband Evan Spiegel, is “really happy” for her former flame, the source assured. “She has already called to congratulate the pair.”
According to the insider, Katy and Orlando have been on the same page every step of the way — including picking out their daughter’s special moniker. “They knew they were having a girl and drew up a list of their names before the birth, but both agreed on Daisy. They think Daisy is such a pretty name for a girl and it obviously goes well with Bloom!”
As it stands, the engaged couple has yet to share a photo of their newborn’s face but, of course, we’re patiently waiting.
