RHONY’s Kelly Bensimon Claims Golden Bachelorette’s Pascal Ibgui Slid Into Her DMs
Real Housewives of New York City alum Kelly Bensimon claimed that The Golden Bachelorette star Pascal Ibgui slid into her DMs after she expressed interest in his costar Guy Gansert.
“Pascal, another guy on The Golden Bachelorette, slid into my DMs,” Kelly, 56, said during the Tuesday, April 8, episode of the “Ben & Ashley I Almost Famous” podcast, admitting she didn’t watch the debut season of the ABC reality show. “It’s actually very entertaining.”
Kelly went on to share how Pascal, 69, broke the ice. “Pascal is like, ‘I’m French,’ [and] well, my ex-husband [Gilles Bensimon] was French, and he goes, ‘I live in Chicago,’ and I’m from Illinois originally,” she recalled. “So he was like, ‘I’m a hairdresser,’ and I was, like, ‘Oh wow.’”
While Kelly said that she’s open to pursuing a relationship with Pascal, she admitted to still having baggage from her past relationships.
“I’m not a zeroing-in-on-somebody kind of person. Let’s date before we get married, tread the waters, meet people,” she told podcast cohosts Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti. “I’m a little gun shy, I’m not going to lie. I’ve had two failed relationships.”
Kelly was previously married to Gilles, 81, from 1997 to 2007, and they share daughters Sea Louise, 27, and Thaddeus, 25. Meanwhile, she and ex-fiancé Scott Litner called off their engagement in June 2024.
The Bravo star revealed her exchange with Pascal one month after she shared her interest in Guy, 66, during a March episode of iHeart Radio’s “I Do Part 2.”
“[Guy] seemed very organized with his thoughts and his intentions and I was like, ‘You know what, that’s what I need.’ I’m looking for solid. I’m looking for the rock. I’m not looking for the roll,” Kelly recalled of her interaction with the doctor, claiming that he asked for her phone number and went on to text her lengthy messages that she compared to “novellas.”
She continued, “So I text back and I’m like, ‘That’s great, sounds fun, look forward to, can’t wait, whatever.’ And it was like … ‘I like this and I like that, and I think you’d like this, and I think you’d like that,’ and going on and on and on and on and, ‘Here’s a photo of me without a pocket square.’ I was like, ‘What is going on?’”
Kelly said she grew even more confused when Guy told her he started seeing someone, though continued to send “more images” of himself. He also allegedly told her that he was an actor, referencing his appearance on General Hospital in March.
While the future for Kelly and Pascal is currently unknown, the hairdresser previously opened up about his relationship status. “I’m single, and I’m not single because nobody wants me, I’m single because the one I want [doesn’t] want me,” he said during the March 6 episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast.
Pascal said that he has received messages from “young girls” interested in dating him on social media, though he insisted he would only date women between the ages of 55 to 65.
“Depend[s] upon the person,” he said of his dating preferences. “You could have a 65-year-old woman who know[s] how to take care of herself, who’s into health and fitness, who know[s] how to dress. … I have no problem with the age, but it has to be age-appropriate. So, again, [setting] the record straight. I do not go out with young women.”
