Kelly Clarkson’s natural beauty showed out as the American Idol alum went makeup free during an appearance on Kylie Kelce’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast.
The “Breakaway” artist, 42, rocked a fresh face, a trucker hat and a crewneck while speaking to Kylie, 33, during the Thursday, March 27, episode.
Although fans were interested in the conversation, they couldn’t help but gush about the talk show host’s youthful appearance in the comment section of a TikTok clip from the interview.
“Her in no glam is everything to me,” one user wrote. Meanwhile, another social media fan wrote, “Kelly with no makeup — how great is that! Thank you for being normal in so many ways with the fame you have.”
“OBSESSED that Kelly came on this podcast looking like an ACTUAL mother. Like, yes, this what we look like,” a third quipped.
During the clip, Kelly criticized school officials and how they scheduled the student performances during the day — making it difficult for working parents to attend. “Like surprising you with it, not like, in an advance, so you can at least tell your work, ‘Hey, I’m going to need this morning off to come in,’” she explained. “Our kids don’t understand, and we just look like assholes when we’re not there.”

The “Miss Independent” hitmaker continued to spill the tea during the interview, subtly throwing shade at her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, while discussing their coparenting dynamic with their two children, 8-year-old Remy and 10-year-old River. She shared her experience with mom guilt, particularly when missing out on important school events.
“It’s funny though how different it is because even from a young age, like we didn’t teach them [that],” Kelly explained. “Just innately, you’re like, ‘He’s allowed to be somewhere, but you’re not.’ Like, that is real interesting.”
Kelly continued to shed light on the tense situation between her and her ex, adding, “There’s a lot that I keep in because … coparenting is fun. It’s like, ‘Oh, he couldn’t come because this,’ and I’m like, ‘Okay, cool.’ Do you think I just leave and just sit in the park all day?”
Kelly and Brandon, 48, were married for nearly seven years before the American Idol alum filed for divorce in June 2020. The Kelly Clarkson Show host has been transparent with her fans since the split and has opened up in the past about how she approached her children with honesty about the divorce, turning it into a valuable learning experience.
“I think the most important thing I’ve learned in therapy, especially through this divorce, is ‘Don’t hide everything from your kids.’ Obviously, don’t talk about stuff that you shouldn’t talk about, but it’s okay if they see you cry, or it’s OK if they see you’ve had a bad day,” she told Variety in September 2022.
She continued. “You start to feel that kind of shame, like, ‘I’ve got to put my best foot forward as a mom because I don’t want them to be affected.’ But then you allow your kids to express empathy, and they learn how to say, ‘Oh, man, I’m sorry you had a hard day.’”
