In true Kardashian style, Khloé Kardashian‘s March 10 baby shower was anything but understated. Held in the Grand Ballroom of the luxe Hotel Bel-Air, the party featured pink roses hanging from the ceiling, pink balloons nearly covering the entire floor and a photo booth for guests — such as mom Kris Jenner, Beverly Hills Housewife Kyle Richards and TV host Maria Menounos — to pose and goof off. Khloé, who’s expecting a daughter with Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Tristan Thompson, even had a custom-made neon sign affixed to a wall that read, “Baby Thompson.” “The party cost about $150,000,” a source says, “and that was a luncheon!”

Her wedding budget will be much, much bigger. Though the E! reality star is just a few weeks away from welcoming her baby girl, Khloé, 33, is busy planning a lavish wedding to Tristan, 27, that will run more than most people make in a lifetime. “The whole thing will cost about $2 million,” says an insider. Who’s helping Khloé plan every last detail right down to the Lorraine Schwartz diamond wedding bands? Mindy Weiss, the celebrity party planner who masterminded her shower, as well as the weddings of Ellen DeGeneres and Sofía Vergara. “Khloé is ready to go all-out,” the source says. “She and Mindy are already going over mood boards and talking about Khloé’s vision.”

That vision begins with a huge mandate: Khloé doesn’t want a do-over of her 2009 wedding to Lamar Odom. To that end, the insider says Khloé decided to seek out a “private estate in Bel-Air” for the summer 2019 event, as opposed to having a loved one host it. (Family friend Irving Azoff did the honors at his Beverley Hills house when she and Lamar tied the knot.) Whatever mansion she chooses needs to be big. The source says, “Khloé’s thinking she will have about 150 people.”

The guests will surely ooh and ahh over her nontraditional gown. Though Khloé wore a long Vera Wang ensemble the last time she said “I do,” this time she wants to walk down the aisle in a daring dress. “Something short in champagne or off-white since it’s her second wedding,” the source says. “She wants it to show off her post-baby body. It will be incredible.”

Also showstopping: the decor and entertainment. The insider says Khloé will drop $250,000 alone on flowers from her friend, florist-to-the-stars Jeff Leatham, who made an elephant topiary for her shower. and she hopes to have some star performances, including one from her sister Kim‘s husband, Kanye West.

Khloé’s more-is-more philosophy about her big day is in line with her thoughts about relationships. “You’re supposed to give it all you can,” she has said. “That’s what marriage is all about.”
