Do not come for Kristen Bell or she will reasonably put you in your place. The actress is known for her sweet demeanor but recently shut down a fan who accused her of exploiting a child actor. It turns out, she doesn’t feature her in own kids in projects purely to keep them secure. She and her husband, Dax Shepard, launched their new company called Hello Bello but they have no plans of putting their loved ones on camera.

“This is Jordan. Jordan s—ts her pants,” Kristen said while holding an adorable tot at the beginning of the hilarious commercial. The brand sells premium and plant-based baby products.

“So, your kids deserve privacy but you don’t mind exploiting other people’s children for monetary gain?” someone asked in the comments on Instagram after watching. The Good Place star shares two children with her husband — Lincoln, 5, and Delta, 4 — which is why people may have been surprised to see them use child actors in the baby product ads.

Kristen Bell responds to fan who accuse her of exploiting a child actor

“If [Dax and I] expose our kids’ faces, there is a real threat of them getting stalked, or of a stranger coming up to them and knowing their name … It’s a safety thing,” the blonde beauty responded. She added, “I don’t fault other parents for showing their kids when they don’t have the same safety concerns … And Jordan is not the little girl’s real name, FYI.”

Considering the A-listers never publicly share photos of their kids’ faces, it’s not surprising that they would want to leave them out of this, too. Fans rallied to support the Veronica Mars actress after her logical explanation. “Don’t even bother defending yourself from such an ignorant comment. This child’s parents obviously consented to their child being on camera … Some petty people just love making something out of nothing. Keep being awesome,” one user wrote. Someone else sympathized, “I can’t imagine how hard it is to shield and protect your kids when you are in the spotlight. Totally understandable. You are smart parents.”
