Kourtney Kardashian Cries Over Turning 40 in ‘KUWTK’ Season 17 Teaser: ‘It Gives Me Anxiety’
Getting older is never easy! Case in point: Kourtney Kardashian shared a tearful conversation with Khloé Kardashian during the brand new season 17 KUWTK teaser ahead of her looming 40th birthday. Of course, the Poosh founder has since celebrated her special day. However, at the time, she was definitely emotional.
“Are you happy?” Koko, 35, asked her big sis. “I feel like you’re redirecting your anxiety or stress or whatever it is about your party … or maybe turning a little older, I don’t know.”
At first, Kourtney appeared cool, calm and collected while eating her giant salad and chilling poolside, but things quickly got real. “I do think that turning 40, like, it almost makes you analyze where you’re at in your life,” Kourtney replied. “It’s giving me anxiety … like, now that I’m doing Poosh, I just always wish I had more time.”
*Cue the waterworks.* “I want to cry … it gives me anxiety and I don’t know why, ‘cause then I’m like, ‘I have so much and I should just be so happy,’ but then sometimes it just makes you really analyze where you’re at and sometimes, I’m just like ‘What am I doing?’” Kourtney expressed.
We hear that, girl. If anything, it’s refreshing to see someone as seemingly perfect as Kourtney appear vulnerable with viewers. “I’m just living life and then sometimes, I’ll just do stupid s–t to distract from really thinking about stuff that is really more important, but then half of me is like, ‘Live your life, have fun.’”
Even though Koko is five years younger, she managed to interject with some serious wisdom, “If you’re happy, that’s all that should matter for any of us. I really don’t think your soul is happy. I think you feel incomplete somewhere … you’re scared.”
Damn, Khlo, way to lay it on thick. That said, we definitely agree with her sentiment about being happy. We can’t wait to see the full conversation unfold when season 17 airs this fall.
