‘Bachelor’ Winner Lauren Burnham Defends Jenna Cooper Amid Scandal: ‘She Has Proof’ She Didn’t Cheat
While most of Bachelor Nation seemed to quickly turn against Jenna Cooper after her alleged cheating scandal, Bachelor winner Lauren Burnham is still sticking by her friend. As a matter of fact, after Lauren and Jenna hung out in New York over the weekend, Lauren actually defended Jenna, telling fans that she saw proof that backs up Jenna’s claims that she never cheated on BIP fiancé Jordan Kimball.
It all started when fans were throwing hate at Lauren for hanging out with Jenna, who was also joined for a slumber party by Sienne Flemming and Jacqueline Trumbull (oh, and Arie Luyendyk Jr… awk.) In her Instagram comments, a hater wrote, “Anyone else think it’s so shady that they’re all hanging out with Jenna after she proved how terrible of a human she is?”
Lauren definitely didn’t think so. “No spewing hate here,” she responded. “There are two sides to every story and the only evidence I know of backs the fact that Jenna did not do what she’s being accused of.”
For the record, Jenna is being accused of not only cheating on Jordan, but planning to dump him and make him look bad. At least, that’s what a series of leaked texts that she allegedly sent to another man seemed to imply. Jenna has continuously insisted that she’s innocent, and most recently said that the person really responsible for “faking” the texts would be a “huge twist.” Not only has Jordan said that he hasn’t seen any of the evidence she’s talking about, but he also posted screenshots that seemingly came from Jenna’s lawyer accusing Jordan himself of faking the texts and setting Jenna up.
“What’s the evidence?” a curious fan asked Lauren. Nice attempt, but it didn’t work. “That’s for her to release,” said Lauren. “It should be happening very soon. I am not one to jump on the bandwagon and take a side without solid evidence. I can tell you that her story is very compelling and she has professional proof. I would just advise not to be so quick to publicly state opinions without knowing the whole story.” It sounds like this story is still far from over!
