Lauren Sanchez Gifted $7K Intergalactic Purse by the Kardashians After Blue Origin Space Flight
Talk about a big week for Lauren Sánchez! Not only did she travel to space on the Blue Origin flight, but she was gifted a UFO-inspired handbag from Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian.
“Out of this world!” Lauren, 55, wrote alongside a picture of the purse via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, April 16.
The Judith Leiber couture bag is listed at a whopping $6,995, but the glittery accessory has already sold out on the brand’s website.
“Our UFO spaceship-inspired domed evening clutch stuns in jet and indigo smooth crystal with bold star-shaped, baguette and geometric crystal details,” the description reads. “Destined to turn heads in any orbit.”
Khloé, 40, and Kris, 69, were present at the Blue Origin launch site in Van Horn, Texas, and voiced their support for their close friend Lauren and her fiancé, Jeff Bezos, along with the other members of the all-female crew.
“We’re here to support our girlfriend and our friends, and I never thought that we’d be talking to you from a space launch for sure,” Kris told a reporter from NBC News affiliate 11 Alive. “This is a really unique experience and we’re just so honored to be here to support them and watch this amazing part of history. I’m just so proud of her.”
Khloé chimed in and added, “I just feel like all of the female astronauts that are going to go up today – it’s such a big day in history, and it’s so empowering, especially my daughter who’s 7, just to see something like this.”

The Kardashian matriarch noted that Kim, 44, was “supposed to be” there with them, but she couldn’t make it because she was “studying for law school.”
“She had a big test that she had to take,” Kris explained. “Again, something I’m very proud of, but she just keeps calling and going like, ‘I have such FOMO! Tell me every minute of it.’ So, it’s very inspirational, and [I’m] just super proud of the girls, every one of them. It’s a very brave thing to do, and I think it also just says something, like Khloé said, to my 13 grandchildren.”
Lauren was one of the six women, along with Katy Perry, Gayle King, producer Kerianne Flynn, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe and bioastronautics research scientist Amanda Nguyen, who boarded the New Shepard rocket on Monday, April 14. The group flew 62 miles into the air to the Kármán line, the internationally recognized boundary of space.
“It was a feeling of joy and camaraderie. It was a feeling of gratefulness. It was a feeling that we’re doing this,” Lauren said after she and the rest of the women landed safely back on earth, per Business Insider. “Alan Shepard did this same exact flight and he became the first American in space, and six women just did the same flight.”
She continued, “Earth looked so, it was so quiet. You look at it and you’re like — we’re all in this together. That’s all I could think about, like, we’re so connected, more connected than you realize.”
