Love Is Blind Star Hannah Jiles’ Explosive Fight With Another Man Was Cut From the Show
Love Is Blind villain Hannah Jiles has been slammed by fans for her treatment of Nick Dorka throughout season 7. However, Nick wasn’t the only man Hannah had words with.
Hannah, 27, got into an argument with a man named Jason Drecchio and it was bad enough that he simply left filming the next day without another word, according to Vulture. Kathryn VanArendonk, a TV critic for the publication, was allowed into the control room to watch the participants being filmed for five and a half days.
Kathryn revealed that she saw anger grow amongst the women regarding Jason, 30, white they were waiting for their individual turns in the pods on their respective dates. She recalled that many of the women believed the Baltimore loan officer was only there to “create tension” after he had been “rude and off-putting on multiple dates.”
By the end of the second day, Hannah reportedly decided to take matters into her own hands.
“Finally, one woman promised that the next time she went on a date with Jason, she’d give it to him straight,” Kathryn wrote in an article published by Vulture on October 24. “True to her word, she arrived at their next date like an appointed representative for the whole cast, listing off all the ways she’d heard he’d been rude to other women, explaining all of his faults, and suggesting he grow up before attempting to be in a serious relationship.”
Kathryn explained that it wasn’t Hannah’s “confidence in laying out all of Jason’s perceived misdeeds, but her sense of righteousness in taking on this task for the sake of the group.” After the verbal altercation, Hannah allegedly returned to the lounge to divulge all the details about their argument while Jason didn’t mention the fight to any of the other men. Instead, he left the following day.
It’s unlikely that Hannah’s behavior comes as a shock to any Love Is Blind season 7 viewers. Fans of the show have continually bashed Hannah for how she spoke to Nick, 29, and even she admitted that she spoke to the Virginia-based realtor “horribly.”
“It’s really hard for me to understand [why Nick was confused about me ending our engagement] and I still have trouble understanding him to this day. But I think he was surprised because he wanted to go all the way,” Hannah told Us Weekly in an article published on October 23. “I don’t think it should have been a shock because it was pretty obvious that we weren’t gonna make it. I was talking to him horribly and I apologize for that, but I just can’t believe he let me. I should not have done that, but he’d let me do it.”
However, her lack of accountability and saying that Nick allowed her to treat him like that only caused more backlash from fans.
“So the victim is to blame for allowing someone to abuse them… is that what she is saying? She needs help,” wrote one Instagram user.
Another added, “That’s the most Narcissistic explanation for ABUSING your partner – GIRL BYE.”
