“After much reflection and many heartfelt conversations, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage,” Alexa wrote in her post. 

“This choice was not made lightly, and it comes with a great deal of care, respect, and appreciation for the time we’ve shared. We entered this relationship with love and optimism, and we leave it with gratitude for the experiences that shaped us and the growth we each gained along the way.”

She added that, although their marriage is ending, their commitment to co-parenting remains strong. “While our journey as a married couple is coming to an end, we remain supportive of one another, devoted to our daughter, and committed to navigating this transition with compassion.”

She ended the statement simply saying, “We kindly ask for privacy as we move forward and focus on our individual paths while keeping our precious daughter as our top priority.”

According to People, it was Brennon who filed for divorce on November 5, a month before the pair announced their split publicly. 

The file states that “the marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities between” the two, “which destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”

In an interview with People in 2024 celebrating their third year anniversary, the couple spoke about how they probably wouldn’t have met in real life.

“I don’t think Brennon and I would have met outside the show, although I’m hopeful that fate would’ve intervened,” Alexa explained. “[LIB] allowed for both of us to communicate and really put ourselves out there.”

Alexa also spoke about how time felt like it ‘really flew by’.

“It doesn’t feel like three years,” Alexa said. “When I go through old pictures and stuff, I can see that it’s been three years, but it feels like in some ways so much longer, like we’ve been married forever.”

“I think about if we had met normally and we got married normally and how different my vows would be, how different the day would’ve been,” she continued. “I just felt like I loved him so much at that time and it’s funny looking back because I love him, but just comparing to how much I love him now, it’s so different.”
