Madonna, Is That You? Singer Looks Unrecognizable in Latest Instagram Selfie
New year, new Madonna? On January 18, the singer, 60, took to Instagram to share an adorable selfie with one of her 6-year-old twins. As much as we’d love to focus on the precious mommy-daughter moment, however, we can’t help but notice how different she looks!
For starters, the Material Girl swapped her iconic blonde hair for a short, black ‘do reminiscent of a flapper in the 1920s. Additionally, Madonna’s face looks a bit, er, enhanced. While we can’t be certain if it’s too much FaceTune or too much something else, she definitely made us do a double take — and as it happens, the songstress’ 12.8 million Instagram followers agree.
“OMG! I like the hair! But the tight face? Who is this girl?” one user questioned. “She’s had so much work done. Yikes,” added another.
In-between reading through the hate, we came across a number of comments suggesting that Madonna’s new hair is actually a wig. If you look closely, there does appear to be a lace outline by her scalp. After all, Madonna would only ever rock the best of the best. Oh, and if that’s not convincing enough, there are multiple bald mannequin heads in the background.
As for the rest? Well, it wouldn’t be the first time that Madonna has been accused of going under the knife. In fact, on New Year’s Eve, she sparked major butt implant rumors after taking the stage in NYC. Shortly thereafter, though, Madonna seemingly shut down the chatter, writing: “Desperately seeking no one’s approval and entitled to free agency over my body like everyone else!!” on one of her Instagram posts.
She’s not wrong, y’all. No matter what Madonna has or hasn’t done to her body, the choice is hers … and hers alone! TBH, we think she always looks fabulous. Alexa, play “Like a Prayer.”
