Life & Style breaks down everything to know about Seung and takes a look back at his relationship with Diane.

Inside Seung Yong Chung’s Previous Marriage With Diane Farr
Seung proposed to Diane in October 2005, and the pair tied the knot the following June. The Californication actress opened up about their marriage in 2011 and revealed that Seung’s choice to date outside of his race wasn’t preferred by his parents, Young Ja Chung and Tae Wha Chung.

“My husband is Asian. And when we first started dating, he said, ‘This is going to be a kind of a problem for my parents,’” Diane recalled during a 2011 interview with KTLA 5 Morning News. “And I said, ‘Why?’ And he said because I am supposed to marry a Korean girl.”
Seung and Diane welcomed their first child, son Beckett Mancuso, in 2007. The following year, their family of three quickly grew to a party of five after their twin daughters, Sawyer and Coco, were born.
After 14 years of marriage, the pair got a divorce in 2020 and kept the reason for their separation to themselves. However, Diane briefly opened up about the end of their marriage via Instagram in September 2020.
In the post, the family matriarch shared photos with her children as they decked out their home with 50th birthday celebration signs for Seung’s milestone birthday.
“Never let a divorce get in the way of a good time. Me and the smalls let alllll the neighbors know their Dad is an OG now,” Diane captioned the post. “Birthday Season is in full swing at our house and VIRGOS be eating cake every day.”
In May 2024, Diane opened up about the final years of her marriage with Seung in an interview with Elle without mentioning him by name.
“And I fought for time with him. The last years of my marriage, I kept trying to sweeten our union with the perks separated parents enjoy. I scheduled one weekend on with the kids and the next alone with my husband,” she said. “First in sexy hotels, then on the world’s shortest getaways, and later, in an apartment I rented just for us. But, the truth was, our home life buoyed him. He didn’t want time out of our family. I know many people would feel the same. I needed a break, specifically in the form of meaningful adult connection.”
