Proud Mama! Duchess Meghan Paid Tribute to Prince Harry and Baby Archie During Her NYC Trip
Thinking of them! Duchess of Sussex Meghan (née Markle) jetted off to NYC to see best friend Serena Williams compete in the US Open over the weekend — and the 38-year-old made sure to keep a special tribute to her husband, Prince Harry, and their newborn son, Archie, close to her heart with a stylish accessory.
The royal mama was spotted sitting courtside on September 7, wearing the cutest set of initialed dog tags engraved with an “H” and an “A” for her two lads at home. According to the Daily Mail, the necklace pendants were made by Mini Mini Jewels and comes embellished with a cute little accent birthstone. Also, it’s not even all that pricey; you can grab one yourself for $250 or less. Plus, her dress was from J. Crew, also a super affordable retailer.
Meg was also spotted sitting with her BFF’s husband, Alexis Ohanian, at the match, as well as the absolutely legendary Vogue editor Anna Wintour. The group seemed to be having a blast as they watched Serena, 37, compete for the singles title for the 23rd time.
But the brunette beauty didn’t just support one friend while she spent time in the Big Apple, she also celebrated another. Her pal and wedding makeup artist, Daniel Martin, received some seriously snack-worthy birthday cupcakes from the duchess to celebrate his big day. Naturally, he commemorated the special treats on his Instagram.
“I am so overwhelmed by all of your well wishes! 🙊My sincerest gratitude,” the MUA captioned the cute photo posted the same day as the tennis match. “Thanks to everyone for reaching out to me today and Meg, love you friend for surprising me on my special day ❤️ #itsmybirthday.”
Plus, the duchess also got her zen on right after touching down in NYC — as a way to kick the jetlag. According to People, she and a friend hit up Modo Yoga in the West Village on September 6, and joined a surprisingly full class of about 60 people. Can you imagine being in that class?
