Meghan Markle’s Former Agent Reportedly Says She’s ‘Sure She’ll Make A Movie Again’
If you didn’t already know, before she became royalty, you could find Meghan Markle on the TV shows Suits and CSI: Miami. Now that the Duchess of Sussex, and her husband Prince Harry, are expecting their first baby in April, and moving house on top of that, you’d think Meghan would be trying to pump the breaks just a little bit. But according to the Daily Mail, Meghan’s looking to get back into the Hollywood spotlight, says her friend and pre-royalty acting agent.
Meghan’s agent, Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne, told the Daily Mail she’s pretty confident about Meghan coming back to the screen. “I’m sure she’ll make a movie again, I really do think that.” Only someone who knows Meghan well would be so bold in her answer, as the idea of Meghan getting back into acting reportedly doesn’t sit well with royal officials. “If Meghan wants to make a movie again, she will,” Gina said recently at an event. “She’s a determined woman and she knows what she wants. She’s a woman of today, she’s got her will and she’s a leader.” If there’s anything we know about the Duchess of Sussex right now, it’s her determination.
Gina represented Meghan until she met her new husband (and was even there when the two first met!) so she’s seen Meghan’s career at both highs and lows, but reportedly feels Meghan won’t cross back over into Hollywood territory until she’s started a family. “I know how much she wanted babies — plural. She’s going to be a lovely mummy — she’s very nurturing and that’s probably why Harry fell for her.” Sounds like we’re not the only ones excited for the new royal baby AND the potential for a few more.
No matter what, Gina is reportedly pretty sure Meghan be selective about the projects she chooses. “She’ll definitely do something serious,” Gina revealed. “She’s not going to be a frivolous little girl like she’s been before. And she’s a great actress.” Amen to that!
Meghan’s desire for a resurgence in the limelight reminds us of the gorgeous Grace Kelly, who left her life of Hollywood stardom to marry Prince Rainier of Monaco in 1956 and become Princess Grace of Monaco. But after a while, she too was dying to get back into acting, much to the disapproval of her husband and the people of Monaco.
While Meghan shares some similarities with the stunning and talented Princess Grace, it seems like Prince Harry is entirely too dedicated and supportive to keep Meghan from following her heart.
Let’s hope this new little royal family can make room for every single thing they want.
