Melissa Rauch and Husband Winston Welcome First Child After Heartbreaking Miscarriage
There's a new Big Bang baby on the block! A thrilled Melissa Rauch (who plays Bernadette on the hit CBS show) took to Instagram on Dec. 4 to reveal that she'd finally given birth to her first child — a sweet baby girl!
"I am beyond over the moon to share that our beautiful baby girl, Sadie Rauch, has arrived and our hearts are bursting at the seams with love for her," she wrote. "I will never take for granted the difficult road it took to get here. To those on that road: I'm sending you so much love today and always. ??????"
The road Melissa is talking about is struggling with fertility issues. She sadly suffered a miscarriage with her first baby, which she revealed when she announced her pregnancy with Sadie in July. "Here is the only statement regarding my pregnancy that doesn't make me feel like a complete fraud: 'Melissa is expecting her first child. She is extremely overjoyed, but if she's being honest, due to the fact that she had a miscarriage the last time she was pregnant, she's pretty much terrified at the moment that it will happen again,'" she wrote in a Glamour essay. We're so thrilled that this birth was successful!
Though this is Melissa's first child, it's almost like she's been through this before when Bernadette was pregnant and became a mother on Big Bang Theory, which was the first child ever brought into the world in the series.
