Missy Elliott Cries After Super Bowl Performance, Shows Off Impressive 70-Pound Weight Loss
Missy Elliott cried “tears of joy” after last night’s Super Bowl halftime show because of the overwhelming positive response to her surprise cameo.
The rapper also flaunted her incredible 70-pound weight loss during the performance in which she performed her hits ‘Get Ur Freak On’, ‘Work It’ and ‘Lose Control’ alongside headliner Katy Perry.

After bringing down the house, the 43-year-old wrote on twitter:
I cried because I’ve been thru so much but I’m still here & thru the grace of God & u the fans believing in me I love y’all

And after the game — which saw the New England Patriots triumph over the Seattle Seahawks — Missy joined Katy and her on/off boyfriend John Mayer at an afterparty, sharing an image of herself with the couple.
