OMG‘RHOA’ Star NeNe Leakes’ Husband Gregg Shares Cancer-Free Diagnosis: ‘Look at God!’
Congrats are in order for Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes and her husband, Gregg Leakes! The 51-year-old Bravo star took to social media on May 13 to share that her longtime hubby is now cancer-free and we couldn’t be happier for their whole family.
“Look at God! We are overjoyed to say, we saw the doctors for the results of Gregg’s Pet Scan he took last week,” the TV personality captioned a photo of her 63-year-old husband posted to her Instagram. “Test show, wait for it … WE ARE CANCER FREE!!! Yes God!” Her hubby was even holding a note in his hand that read, “No cancer found! Praise God!”
This is definitely cause to celebrate — but leave it up to the outspoken Georgia native to bring it all back to drama. “Now I can go give Gregg a black eye 👊🏾 since so many think he’s abused,” she concluded her caption with an allusion to abuse rumors. Though NeNe has been vocal about how Gregg’s illness has affected their relationship, there haven’t ever been substantiated claims regarding the alleged “abuse.”
The RHOA OG even included a few hashtags, like “#cancersurvivor,” “#pushthrucaretakers,” and “#lifeoftheleakes,” all of which seem to exemplify what this family has been going through over the last few months.
Back in early November 2018, NeNe came clean about her husband’s stage 3 colon cancer diagnosis on the season 11 premiere of the longtime Bravo hit show. Prior to that, the reality star had revealed Gregg’s struggle back in June, but had been guarded about specific details other than the c-word.
“Our new normal and the fight begins #f–kcancer #mdandersoncancercenter #yougotthis #iloveyou,” she captioned a photo of her husband in the doctors office over the summer.
According to Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Gregg completed his final round of chemo in April — and it seems to have done the trick. Congrats to the entire Leakes family!
