Nicholas Alexander Chavez ‘Trying to Save Face’ After Claims He Was on Dating App Amid Relationship
Nicholas Alexander Chavez and girlfriend Victoria Abbott are doing what they can to quell cheating speculation amid rumors that the Monsters: The Lyle & Erik Menendez Story actor was on a dating app amid their relationship, a source exclusively tells Life & Style.
“Victoria’s been assuring fans that they were just friends when Nick was interacting with other girls,” the source says. However, the insider adds that it’s “not really convincing” because Nicholas, 25, and the Grotesquerie actress, 23, were already referring to each other as boyfriend and girlfriend by the time he was allegedly seen on the celebrity dating app Raya.
“Seems like Nick didn’t think this would blow up the way it did, and now both he and Victoria are trying to save face,” the source concludes.
Little is known about Nicholas and Victoria’s relationship, as the General Hospital alum has always been notoriously private with his dating life. However, they began dating in mid-2023, according to multiple reports. Victoria has shared images and footage from their romance on her Instagram Stories and saved them to a highlight called “Lover.” One January 2023 photo showed them at a party, while a September 2023 video showed them watching a sunset together.
Victoria took the romance to her Instagram feed in March of this year by sharing a set of Polaroid photos featuring Nicholas in a photo dump. The snaps showed the soap opera star driving a convertible car with the top down and posing with his arm around his girlfriend. “Party hardy,” she captioned the collection with a white heart.

The Nebraska native later appeared on Nicholas’ Instagram for the first time in July. He shared a photo of himself pulling Victoria in close to plant a kiss on her temple as they stood outside a marquee sign in Los Angeles. “Midwest princess,” he captioned the snap, which accompanied a few memes and selfies.
The pair both appear in Ryan Murphy’s FX series Grotesquerie, with Victoria playing Andrea Salana and Nicholas playing Father Charlie Mayhew. The show was reportedly filmed between April and September and premiered on September 25. Victoria shared a carousel of photos promoting the show on October 3, featuring the Echoes actress covered in fake blood. In one snap, she wrapped herself in a blanket and knelt down beside Nicholas, who sat in a lawn chair while wearing jeans and a T-shirt.
“Episode 4 is live! Get ready for 5 next week. Heard red was my color ;),” she wrote in the caption.
Victoria also supported Nicholas on Monsters, another one of Ryan’s projects. She shared photos from the set of the Netflix series on September 19. In one snap, Victoria stood between Nicholas and costar Cooper Koch, who play the titular Lyle and Erik Menendez, respectively, as they wore blue prison uniforms and chains around their wrists and ankles. A later photo featured Victoria giving Nicholas a piggyback ride.
“I took my role as on set BTS iPhone photographer girlfriend very seriously,” she wrote. “MONSTERS: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story streaming now on Netflix!”
