Our hearts are breaking for Nick Carter and his wife Lauren Kitt on Sept. 10, as they seemingly just learned that Lauren had a miscarriage. Nick took to Twitter to share the devastating news with fans.

“God give us peace during this time. I really was looking forward to meeting her after three months. ?. I’m heartbroken,” he began. It’s unclear how far along Lauren was, as they had not shared news of the pregnancy publicly before it took a tragic turn.

“It was a little sister for Odin…” he told a fan trying to comfort him with kind words. Nick is actually in Lima, Peru at the moment for a stop on his solo tour, and he seemed conflicted as to whether or not he wanted to perform after learning of his family’s tragedy. First he said, “I don’t think I can perform tonight. I’m sorry Lima.” However, hours later he changed his mind. “This will be hard, but for the love of my fans here in Lima I’ll be on the stage tonight.”

So far, Lauren has not spoken out about the news. The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Odin, back in 2016. Both of Odin’s parents are head-over-heels in love with him, and we’re sure they felt the same about their unborn daughter. We wish the family peace in this heartbreaking time.
