ExclusiveNikki Bella Reveals How She and Her Boyfriend Artem Chigvintsev Ended Up Living Together
While celeb couples are breaking up left and right, thankfully, Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev are going strong! Things are going so well for them that they are living together, and the 35-year-old retired wrestler exclusively revealed to Life & Style how that came about.
“I was supposed to do a show in New Zealand right when my lease was up. Then I couldn’t do the show but had given up my place, so I was like ‘Hey, can I live with you?'” she said. We love how easy that was and, apparently, so does the brunette beauty. Nikki and the Russian native, 37, have a great connection, which makes the relationship run smoothly.
“It’s all happening very naturally,” she added. “We’re just in the moment, which I love. For the first time ever I’m just like, whatever happens, happens.” We believe it! Prior to dating Artem, the Total Bellas star was with John Cena for six years of which they spent on and off. They even got engaged but broke things off a few weeks before walking down the aisle in April 2018. By July of the same year, they had reconciled and split up again but this time for good.
Now, over a year later, Nikki couldn’t be happier with Artem. The two first sparked dating rumors in January, and in March, they revealed they were seeing each other, but Nikki felt hesitant about using labels. “Yes, we are dating,” she revealed on “The Bellas Podcast” at the time. “Yes, I spend the night at his house. Yes, we have date lunches at Joan’s on Third and we like to get food for his house — or should I say, produce from the farmer’s markets. So, let’s consider this rumor killed.”
However, it wasn’t until July that they finally made things official. “We’re boyfriend and girlfriend,” she confessed on the podcast in the July 17 episode. “We’re in a relationship! Why do I feel like I’m in high school right now?” she joked. Aw! The couple has even talked about the future. “Deep down we both want marriage and kids, but I’m nowhere near ready,” she told Life & Style.
