False Alarm! Nikki Bella Thought BF Artem Chigvintsev Was Going to Propose During Her Podcast
Will wedding bells be ringing for Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev? Not yet! After only a few months of dating, the Total Bellas star thought her boyfriend was going to pop the question during the last episode of her and her sister Brie’s “The Bellas” podcast.
Nikki, who was joined by beau, 36, began by recalling their reunion in Napa Valley in May. “Artem flew all the way from London to Napa Valley to meet me at BottleRock,” the 35-year-old explained. “I hadn’t seen Artem for a week and a half and I’ll admit during that week and a half, I realized how much I missed my, beautiful, smart, handsome … dancer.”
Brie, also, 35, chimed in and asked, “So are you saying you wanted to make him your boyfriend?” ICYMI: When Nikki finally confessed she’s dating Artem back in March, she also made it clear that she doesn’t like to use labels, and she reiterated that when telling her story about their recent reunion.
“I’m not saying that … what I’m saying is when he was gone I realized how much I missed him, like, tons,” she continued. “So I said, ‘Brie I want to have it on tape. Like, I haven’t seen Artem in so long, so film me. … But then it was so cute because I ran up to Artem and the driver was trying to ask for my photograph or a photo or something, but I was like beelining for my man.” The reality star shared the sweet moment on Instagram in late May.
The Dancing With the Stars pro chimed in to tell her how he felt at the time, and things got pretty emotional for a sec. “I’d been away for 10 days and that is a long time. I think it’s the first time we’ve been apart for 10 days in quite a while,” he said. “I did miss you a lot.”
“Oh my gosh, are you gonna propose?” both sisters interjected, before Brie said, “We go from no labels to getting engaged!” We’re glad they can laugh about the whole thing.
