Sophie Turner Admits She Fangirls Over Husband Joe Jonas’ Ex Taylor Swift
No awkwardness here! Taylor Swift may be Joe Jonas‘ ex, but his wife Sophie Turner doesn’t mind at all. So much so, that she admitted she’s a fan of the “Blank Space” singer, 29.
“She’s a really sweet girl,” the Game of Thrones alum, 23, revealed to Extra on Tuesday, June 4. “We met a couple times before, we’re [friendly]. She definitely wasn’t fangirling over me … I fangirl over her!”
Sophie and Taylor recently made an appearance The Graham Norton Show, and they were nothing but smiles, so it’s safe to say there’s no drama at all. Besides, Taylor and Joe dated over a decade ago, and though they didn’t end on the best terms, they’re ~ cool ~ now.
In 2008, the “Look What You Made Me Do” crooner got candid about her breakup with the Jonas Brothers member during an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “It’s all right — I’m cool. You know what, it’s like, when I find that person that is right for me, he’ll be wonderful,” she told Ellen at the time. “When I look at that person, I’m not even going to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 27 seconds when I was 18.”
11 years went by and Tay couldn’t be more unbothered. In a recent appearance on the same show, she told Ellen that “putting Joe on blast” was her most rebellious act as a teen. “That was too much. That was too much,” she said. “I was 18. Yeah. We laugh about it now, but … that was mouthy. Just some teenage stuff there.”
Joe doesn’t seem phased by the situation, either. When asked about Taylor’s apology during an interview on Lorraine on June 5, Joe seemed appreciative. “Yeah, I mean, it did feel nice,” he confessed. “It’s something that I probably was feeling bad about when I was younger, but at the end of the day, I’ve moved on and I’m sure Taylor’s moved on and it feels nice. We’re all friends and it’s all good.” We’re here for it!
