Where was she? Miranda Lambert appeared to skip the CMT Awards on June 5, which is a little strange since she was in Nashville, Tennessee just one day before. Why didn’t the country singer make an appearance at the show? No one is really sure, tbh.

Miranda, 35, was in Nashville on June 4 for the 2019 Billboard Country Power Players event. She even shared a quick post about it on her Instagram Story the same day as the CMTs. So if she was already in the city, it’s a little odd that she didn’t show up to the awards show, where she was nominated for a few prizes.

Miranda was up for Male Video of the Year and Collaborative Video of the Year for Jason Aldean’s “Drowns The Whiskey,” which she was featured on. She was also nominated in the Female Video of the Year category for “Keeper of the Flame.” Carrie Underwood won in the Female Video category for “Love Wins,” and it didn’t seem like Miranda was there when that winner was announced.

Fans were sort of hoping that the country singer would appear with her new hubby, Brendan McLoughlin. The duo got married in a secret ceremony just two days after Valentine’s Day, and have appeared at some events together since.

For instance, Miranda and her husband went to the 54th Academy of Country Music Awards on April 7 in their first public appearance since their wedding. The singer wore a beautiful green dress, while her man wore a tuxedo. The couple couldn’t seem to stop smiling and gazing at each other on the red carpet, and honestly, we were hoping to see a little more of that during the CMTs!

Maybe Miranda was busy making new music, or just hanging out with the hubs and some pups in their gorgeous barn — which she has been known to do in the past. Wherever she was, we’re bummed the country star wasn’t at the CMTs with her love. Better luck next time, Miranda fans!
